America’s best bacon is even easier to find for Massachusett’s shoppers in search of low & slow smoked flavor. The East Coast-based wholesale club store, BJ’s now carries North Country’s infamous Applewood Smoked, Uncured bacon in all 25 in-state locations.
Beginning late September, retail goers will find dual packs available on the shelf. This unique pack comprises of 2, 12oz units totaling 1.5 lbs. of perfectly sliced strips. Even better, BJ’s shoppers will find in-store clipless coupons available in October, and digital, downloadable coupons on the mobile app through November.
North Country is one of only two uncured, humanely raised bacon brands available on the shelf. “We’re really excited for new to brand customers to try the product.” says, Alicia Baker, Director of Marketing. “We smoke our bacon for hours, not minutes. The patience and persistence we put into every small batch is evident in the flavor. It’s truly exceptional.”

That’s right – our system is what we call vertically integrated which is a fancy way of saying we own our own farms, grain mills, harvesting plants, and of course, the smokehouse. We can control quality better this way and our customers know that they can trust where their food comes from and the people who produce it.
The Bacon is Marinated in Local Maple Syrup
We source our syrup 8-short miles from the smokehouse, which is nestled on the border of New Hamshire & Vermont. This area is a mecca for pure maple syrup – it’s only right we use it in our recipe.
