Sage Stuffing & Kielbasa Bites

Description
Serve alongside your next ham dinner or enjoy as a tasty, bite-sized snack.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 ½ tbsp dried or fresh sage, finely chopped
- 12 oz. Uncured Polish Style Kielbasa
- , diced into small cubes
- ¾ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
Cooking Instructions
- Heat the butter and oil in a frying pan. Add the diced kielbasa, and sauté until warmed through and lightly golden around the edges. Remove from the pan, and drain on a paper towel. To the same pan, add the onion, bay and a pinch of salt. Fry gently over a low heat until the onions are softened and translucent. Add the garlic and sage, and fry gently for 1 minute. Leave to cool for 10 minutes.
- Pre-Heat the oven to 350F. Stir the breadcrumbs, diced kielbasa, and beaten egg through the onion mixture. Season to taste. Divide into 12 balls. Bake on a flat baking sheet lined with parchment paper for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
