Smoky Bacon Cream Sauce

Description
Make the world’s best bacon cream sauce to drizzle over your favourite protein.
Ingredients
- 6 slices of North Country Smokehouse Applewood Smoked Uncured Bacon
- 2/3 Cup Heavy Cream
- ½ Cup Parmesan, freshly grate
- ½ TBSP Butter
- Salt & Pepper
Cooking Instructions
- In medium skillet, cook 6 slices of chopped bacon over medium-high heat until crisp. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Carefully pour off all but 1 tsp of the bacon fat.
- Add the butter and cream to the skillet with the bacon fat, and simmer until reduced by ½. Remove from the heat and add the parmesan cheese, whisking until thoroughly combined, then add 2/3 of the cooked bacon. Stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Keep warm over low heat.
- Serve your favourite protein over a layer of rich bacon cream sauce.
