Our authentic charcuterie features only the best hand-selected natural ingredients, traditional cure recipes, and a small batch smoking process over embers of local hardwoods. Available Positions 

The position will be responsible for cooking bacon for bacon bits while ensuring safe actions, environmental compliance, and quality production in a Good Manufacturing Practice food-grade operation. All in compliance with the standards of wholesomeness, hygiene, health & safety at work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lift a 35lb Lug every hour to hour and a half. Will be scooping bacon from the lug on to the cooker it goes through the conveyor belt cooks and gets dumped into a buggy.  Makes sure that the line is running correctly in between scooping so there are no jams. Need to learn the proper storage of cooked and raw bacon. May also have to enter information onto a tablet

Hours are Monday thru Friday 8am to 4pm

The packaging Supervisor is responsible for helping to assist the room Manager in daily tasks. This position organizes the production lines according to the Managers instructions and daily production goals. All in compliance with the standards of wholesomeness, hygiene, health & safety at work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors and delivers against daily production goals and line standards (safety, productivity, quality, customer service and cost standards)
  • Ensures production resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available as needed to maintain production schedules
  • Completes one or more quality and safety report (s) at established frequencies and in an appropriate manner
  • Helps with the management of production line employees
  • Performs temperature monitoring of the products
  • Provides leadership and employee training to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities effectively
  • Intervenes with employees regarding Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Informs maintenance and supervisors in case of machine breakage

The production team member will perform a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing and packaging of our products in our fast paced refrigerated facility. The basic function of the packager is to do the final processing of the product and package processed meat products. All in compliance with the standards of wholesomeness, hygiene, health & safety at work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES :

  • Perform the final processing of selected products; such as apply glaze, etc.
  • Perform a wide variety of packaging tasks including the roll stock machines, slicers and the vacuum machines
  • Move products and materials as required in performance of duties
  • Maintain quality and quantity performance standards
  • Visually check work after completion for cosmetic appearance and noticeable defects
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly, and operable condition
  • Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, defective product and unusual conditions to the proper Manager
  • May be assigned to different work stations as production needs require

The meat processor will process meat, which includes, but is not limited to, making, curing, smoking, cutting and slicing meat products based on company specifications. This position will perform various tasks corresponding to the process of preparing the meat (injection, hanging, stalling, and churning of the meat).   • Supply meat for injection and place the pieces of meat on the conveyor of the injector

The QA Technician will report directly to the Director of QA.  This position requires the ability to multitask, and be self-motivated, and become an integral part of the facility’s daily operations and quality programs. This position will be responsible for creating new products for customer specific requests or improve current products; while utilizing the most up to date science and technology to improve the quality and consistency of the facilities existing products through education of employees, testing of products, conducting shelf-life studies, and reacting to trends of the facility, in order to meet or exceed output and productivity goals while ensuring safe actions, environmental compliance and quality production in a Good Manufacturing Practice food-grade operation. DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES :

  • Identify the scope of the project.
    • Type of project, customer or internal requirements, any special requirements or timeframes
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of each test from conception to full scale production.
  • Be actively involved in the production environment for each stage from kitchen processing through creating sample labels, and shipping to customers.
  • Be the main point of contact to the customer once the introduction has been made.
  • Conduct organoleptic tastings to move in the appropriate direction to achieve the desired results.
  • Communicate with all relevant employees or customers for each stage of the process from kitchen processing to shipping of the first order.
    • Obtaining signed acknowledgement sheets from each department involved prior to the first production run.
  • Follow up with the customer, after each test batch, and first production batch.
  • Ensure all timelines are met, or communicated to the appropriate people if there are delays.
  • Work directly with QA department to ensure all recipes, and label claims meet all regulatory and food safety requirements.
  • Applies and enforces all company regulations, policies, and procedures (HACCP, SQF, HR, OHS, GMP, etc.) and participates in their development and implementation.
  • Ensures all specifications and procedures for quality assurance and control are met
  • Is responsible for the follow-up and the respect of the procedures for the preparation and the collection of all the reports resulting from the production (HACCP, management of the human resources, daily production, etc.) and makes it follow to the people concerned
  • Offers the plant manager all methods of improving the production or organization of work
  • Establishes a strong team spirit in its departments by promoting communication and respect
  • Is responsible for the integration and training of new employees in accordance with the company policy

This position is responsible for processing shipping orders according to company procedures, while ensuring safe actions, environmental compliance and quality production in a Good Manufacturing Practice food-grade operation. All in compliance with the standards of wholesomeness, hygiene, health & safety at work.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES :

  • Gain knowledge of the process and procedures of shipping
  • Ensure that orders are shipped in a timely and efficient manner
  • Able to load and unload trucks checking for damage
  • Help maintain an organized and clean shipping area
  • Establishes a strong team spirit in its departments by promoting communication and respect
  • Performs other tasks at the request of his immediate superior

PERSON TO SUPERVISE :                      

  • Position with no staff supervision

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High school diploma or G.E.D

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Highly detail oriented and meticulous
  • Good operational judgment (initiative)
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and concern for others (promote a team-building environment)
  • High level of personal responsibility and ownership

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Able to work in a cold environment
  • Wear hard hat and safety boots at all times
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Follow and promote safe work practices
