Move over milk & cookies, pull apart bacon bread is the stuff Christmas magic is made of. We filled the crevices with maple soaked, non-gmo, applewood smoked bacon. Gotta look out for the big guy.
Total Time: 20 min prep, 55 min cook
Servings: 16 servings
Ingredients:
12 slices North Country Smokehouse Organic Applewood Smoked Uncured Bacon, diced
1 loaf (1 pound) frozen bread dough, thawed
2 TBSP olive oil, divided
1 C shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1, 1 oz. package of ranch seasoning
Method:
1) Pre-heat oven to 350F. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add bacon and cook until brown & crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Transfer cooked bacon to a paper towel-lined plate.
2) Roll out dough to ½ inch thickness and brush with 1 TBSP of oil. Cut into 1 inch pieces, place in large bowl. Add bacon, cheese, seasoning mix, and remaining oil. Toss to coat.
3) Arrange pieces in a 9x5 inch oval on a parchment-lined baking sheet, layering as needed. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
4) Bake for 40 minutes. Then cover with foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
